{"id":284,"date":"2024-06-27T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-27T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eic-it.infn.it\/?p=284"},"modified":"2025-01-30T12:45:29","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T11:45:29","slug":"giornate-nazionali-eic_net-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eic-it.infn.it\/index.php\/2024\/06\/27\/giornate-nazionali-eic_net-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Giornate Nazionali EIC_NET 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The &#8220;Giornate Nazionali EIC_NET 2024&#8221; in Bologna are the sixth edition of a series of annual meetings, where the INFN groups interested in future experimentation at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnl.gov\/eic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Electron-Ion Collider<\/a>\u00a0discuss the current status and prospects of the Italian involvement in the international scientific project.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the first meeting in Bari in 2019 the situation has evolved significantly. The ePIC Collaboration, responsible for the design, construction and operation of the main experiment at the EIC, was established in 2022. In February 2023 John Lajoie (Iowa University) and Silvia Dalla Torre (INFN Trieste) have been elected spokesperson and deputy spokesperson, respectively. \u00a0By the end of 2024 the Technical Design Report (TDR) of the ePIC experiment at the EIC will be presented.
