In particular Villa Mondragone was built starting from 1573 by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cardinal_(Catholicism)\">Cardinal<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mark_Sittich_von_Hohenems_Altemps\">Mark Sittich von Hohenems Altemps<\/a>\u00a0and it hosted the popes for their summer residence during the following century.
