The second edition of the ePIC and EIC Physics Readiness Workshop took place from March 17 to 19, at the University of Calabria. The purpose of the meeting was to prepare the physics studies to be conducted during the first five years of operation of the future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Approximately 40 people attended the meeting at the University of Calabria, including the spokespersons and the physics analysis coordinators as well as E. Aschenauer for the EIC\/Detector Project. Another ~60 collaborators followed the proceedings via videoconference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting a first feedback from the referees on a draft of the Early Science Report has been discussed in detail. The Workshop also hosted a theory session, and a session on physics outreach activities. There were a lot of opportunities for early career collaborators to give updates and discuss progress. The last day saw a shared session organized with the Software and Computing Team, which went over critical aspects of particle reconstruction, software tools and analysis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the workshop came a better planning of the path forward to key priorities of physics analysis in ePIC: the Early Science and Technical Design Reports and the NIM-A special issue which will incorporate several spin offs of the previous documents as well as a white paper on opportunities for BSM and EW physics with a full scope EIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
